In response to my contemplation that I either needed to accomplish something or not worry about accomplishing things during my vacation, David tasked me with a hunt for 10 things of a list of 16. Anyone with any sense would have considered this rediculous, but I decided to take it on, so long as I didn't have to do any additional running around to do it. Our plans for today included shopping, visiting the Phone Museum, and washing the dog. The only restrictions were that I could not use images from the Internet and that I couldn't doctor ("Photoshop") the photos. No problem...
13. a fluorescent vest
I supposed he meant a reflective vest. No problem since I had recently bought Anne Marie this stylish one for her walks around the streets in our neighborhood.
5. A large pizza
Found it in the freezer section... didn't look appetizing.
8. A soccer ball
Found it in the same store. Easy so far... but harder from here.
4. A flower with naturally black petals
After visiting the phone museum, we walked down Pearl street to a coffee place and spotted these black flowers in the planters along the street. It's small, but definately black.
11. a Gobot
Next on our agenda... washing the dog at "Suds em yourself". What do you know... the kids' play area has a Gobot (one that changes from a robot to an airplane). You can see the clean dog in this picture also.
Now, the next few have to do with David's apparent and unnatural obsession with things on top of other things. It must be some repressed sexual thing. Anyhow, here are various things "on" other things:
15. something that says "Made in Canada" on it
Uh, that was easy. Lauren was a great help.
14. a belt buckle with a truck on it
Well, I presume that a toy truck qualifies as a truck, but I could have put a real truck (and camper) on it, but it would make the belt buckle harder to see. :-)
10. A blue dress with sequins on it
Lots of sequins. I put them right on this blue dress (one of Lauren's).
6. A mug with Ben Affleck's mug (face) on it
Now, Ben used to be the rage, but I was worried that finding a picture of him might be more difficult now that his popularity has cooled. But, page six of the Star had Ben and Jennifer Gardener looking for a house. Per David's sick request, here it is on a mug with me in extreme close-up.
And finally...
9. Pitcher of lemonade
I figured I could justify spending 15 cents while we were shopping to get a packet of lemonade. After my long day, I mixed myself a sugar-free alcohol-heavy lemonade. One packet Kool-Aid lemonade, 4 grams Stevia sweetener, 6 ounces Tequilla, 2 ounces Triple Sec. I wouldn't recommend it, but it's good enough to enjoy tonight. Cheers!
Too bad all I get is a sense of accomplishment. :-)
